I made the decision to start The Reluctant Commentator because, I honestly felt as though I had no other choice. It is extremely frustrating to see the divide in our society and, I believe, if we are not actively trying to be a part of the solution then we are part of the problem. I appreciate that you have taken time to read my thoughts more than I can convey to you. Time that we, the contributors (current and future) don’t really have (and don’t care to waste) is spent writing and putting serious thought into each piece. It is the product of the efforts of many. My co-contributors, who you have read, or, hopefully, will read eventually are some of the most brilliant minds and decent people that I know. They are homemakers, business owners, IT Executives and world travelers, and all of their thoughts will be worth your time to read. We do not agree on everything. In some cases, we disagree on many things. Yet we are united in our desire to find common ground and to reshape the way that we, as a society communicate with one another. Every word that I write is also shaped by my interactions with the many amazing people in my life, whose opinions have shaped the way I view the world. If you are wondering “who” I am… well, that’s a little tougher to summarize, but I will give it a shot. I am a husband, father, son, brother and a friend. I play ice hockey, coach ice hockey, play bass and sing in an alt rock band, hike and rock climb in my “spare time.” I’m a lawyer and small business owner… and no, I don’t get a lot of sleep. Again, I sincerely thank you for your time!
